Our 15s were beaten by a slightly better Pike Rovers
It was Pike who started quickly out of the blocks and indeed were soon ahead. Gradually our lads settled and following a long clearance down field from goalkeeper David Faulkner which went over the backs heads Alex Fox Scales ran onto the ball before burying the ball in the Pike net to sent it in level at the break.
Again pike scored early in the second half.
The game was in the balance at this stage. We came close twice once from a corner that was taken off the line. The second a terrific free from Darragh Glynn which was brilliantly saved by the pike keeper. In the space of 60 seconds it was 3-1. Our lads never gave up and can hold their heads up high
