It was not a great weekend on the pitch for us as we suffered some very unlucky defeats in the National Cups
Under 16 National Cup
Caherdavin Celtic 3
Rathkeale 1
Our Under 16s were the only team to progress to the next round of the National Cup.This looked like it was going to be a very one sided game as we started off well on top and goals from Kacper Lieto and Mickey Long had us 2-0 up and well on top but our opponents Rathkeale had other ideas and got a goal back early in second half and really had us worrying but with 5 minutes to go Cian Ryan scored the third goal to give us a 3-1 victory

Lough Derg 3
Our 14A team were beaten by Lough Derg on Saturday.This was a very even game and indeed we should have been ahead before the visitors went into a 2-0 lead.Feature of the first half was an amazing save by goalkeeper Conor Flanagan who somehow twisted his body in mid air to make this save..Casey Doran got us back into the match when he smashed the ball in from close in. Unfortunatly it was our visitors who scored the next goal to wrap up a deserved victory but our lads never gave up

Kildysart Celtic 1
Our 13B squad gave an excellent account of themselves when they gave their Clare opponents one hell of a game and were unfortunate to lose to the only goal.The whole team gave their all and can be proud of their efforts

BT Harps 2 aet
Those of you lucky enough to be at the Greenhills for the second game on Saturday were treated to a classic between 2 teams that played wonderful football.Unfortunatly we came out on the wrong side of the result.This game could have gone anyway.The football was a joy to watch.We fell behind early in the second half to a cracker of a shot which gave our keeper no chance.Try as we may it looked like it was not going to be our day untill at the very death up step Glen Blackhall to score a beauty from 20 yards to send the game to extra time.We should have won the game late on.In the last 2 minutes our visitors pounced for the winner.
The boys can be really proud of their efforts as it was one of the best games of football at the greenhills for awhile and really football was the winner on the day

Regional Utd C 2
Caherdavin Celtic C 5
Our 14C team had a great 5-2 away victory on Saturday.Feature of this match was the goalscoring feet from Ben Mutsters who scored 4 goals Jake O Shea scored our other goal
Non Competitive Teams
We had our Under 8 and Under 10s in action all over Limerick on Saturday.Some great goals were scored.Well done to all of our young boys and girls.These youngsters are the future of the club
Munster Junior Cup
Caherdavin Celtic A 3
Athlunkard Villa 5
Our junior A team exited the Munster Junior Cup following this defeat. We never really recovered from a disasterous start when we found ourselves 2 down in 15 minutes. We got one back through Nicky O Connell only to concede again. Credit the lads as goals from Cian O Rahilly and Stephen O Halloran had us back level with 10 minutes left but it was the visitors that finished the strongest with 2 late goals to advance to the next round
Munster Junior Shield
Summerville Rovers 1
Caherdavin Celtic B 0
A goal half way through the second half was all that separate these 2 teams following a very close game that really was very tight with few chances. The lads gave their all.
Sports Capital Grant
Just to let you know that the Capital Sports Grant applied for by the club is out. Caherdavin Celtic was awarded €108,567. This is fantastic news for the club, all the hard work paid off.
